In front of a 10th century Romanesque church is Ariqus, an isolated rural historical complex, made up of different unique buildings from the 16th century, completely restored, preserving the original spirit of the time and equipped with all the current comfort.
The space is available as a set, or renting only some of its properties with capacity from 5 to a total of 50 guests.
Located in Pla de l’Estany region, Girona, 3 kilometers from Banyoles and 70 minutes from Barcelona, where you can enjoy your stay in a splendid natural environment.

The property was restored with a lot of charm, respecting and preserving many original features such as the stone walls, the vaulted ceilings, the noble wooden beams, the Mediterranean tiles, terracotta floors or engraved stones, and also respecting part of the original furniture, but at the same time incorporating all the comfort elements, without giving up the authenticity of the place.
The main farmhouse was built by Jaume Ferrer de Fontcoberta, head of the “Remenses”: who defended Fernando the Catholic from the siege of Girona, and was distinguished in 1486 by the King, as Noble of the military branch.
Enviroment
Located on the top of a hill, at only 3 km. from Banyoles, ARIQUS Rural is favoured with a virgin landscape, with clear views that allow you to enjoy its splendid natural environment.
The surrounding forests and fields suggest to our guests a multitude of relaxing walks and routes on foot or by bicycle to explore the countless roads and trails that will take you to discover ponds, lagoons, viewpoints and other places of interest such as the Romanesque Church of Fontcoberta, consecrated in 917.

Un sitio precioso, fuimos 9 familias y disfrutamos muchisimo. Muy equipado con todo. La casa es una preciosidad toda llena de antiguedades. Experiencia muy buena y el ultimo dia nos ofrecieron la posibilidad de quedarnos una noche mas sin pagar mas. Vistas impresionantes desde la terraza
Belle maison décorée avec goût. Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable pour un groupe de 40 personnes en famille.
Estuvimos con un grupo de amigos a principio de agosto, y antes llegar nos asaltaban dudas en cuanto al lugar , fueron despejadas de inmediato cuando llegamos por el magnifico complejo de sus cuatro masías con su zona de ocio, piscinas, jardines e instalaciones exteriores, así como las interiores, disponen de todo lo necesario para hacer de nuestra estancia de lo mas agradable.
El señor que nos atendió a nuestra llegada y durante nuestra estancia fué super amable y muy atento a cualquier cosa que necesitabamos. MUY RECOMENDABLE. Repetiremos.
Great few days. Out in the country but easy to get to and close to the town of banyoles. House is rustic as youd expect from a rural house but had everyrhing we needed.
Lugar tranquilo y acogedor. Muy buena piscina de agua de sal.. con escaleras para personas mayores y niños. Vistas a la naturaleza. Céntrico con acceso a las ciudades importantes de los alrededores como Banyoles y Besalu… O playa L’Escala…. Un lugar para disfrutar.. y para repetir……
Ubicación exquisita, equipamiento completo, bien dispuesto y en excelente estado. Bien mantenido y bien cuidado. TV, Wi-Fi, cocina equipada y práctica, lavabos impecables y dormitorios muy cómodos Realmente recomendado al 100%
